If you have been a victim of a crime in this country, you can apply to receive a Visa U, which, if granted, would give you a legal status.


The crime would have been reported to legal authorities, such as the police department or/and the district attorney's office. 


Crimes include but are not limited to: kidnapping, sexual exploitation, involuntary servitude, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, domestic violence, psychological abuse, rape, or others not listed but approved as evidenced by a crime.
